Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TechnoRights (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects,
uses, stores, and shares information when you use the JaapTrack
mobile application (the “App”), Android package
com.technorights.jaaptrack.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
The App is published by TechnoRights. For privacy questions, email info@technorights.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Account & identity data from Google Sign-In: name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile photo URL (if provided by Google).
- Practice data you create: selected naam/mantra names, jap counts, daily goals, mala size, opening balance, session notes, history by date, and reminder preferences (time, enabled/disabled).
- App settings: theme preference, vibration/sound toggles, and similar configuration stored with your account.
- Device & technical data typical of mobile apps and our servers (for example IP address, approximate request time, app version, and crash/diagnostic signals when available through platform services).
We do not knowingly ask for payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or sensitive special-category health data as part of core App features.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate you with Google and keep you signed in securely.
- Provide App features: counting, history, calendar, progress, goals, and reminders.
- Sync your practice data to our servers so it is available when you use the App online.
- Schedule optional local notifications for daily reminders you configure.
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability and security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where required (for example under GDPR-style rules), we process data based on: performance of a contract (providing the App), your consent (where requested), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and legal obligations.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share data only as needed to operate the App:
- Google Sign-In — to verify your identity. Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers — to run our API and store encrypted backups of service data.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
The App does not currently show third-party advertisements.
6. Storage and security
Practice and account data are stored on our servers. We use HTTPS for API traffic and reasonable access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Reminder schedules may also be stored on your device to fire local notifications.
7. Retention
We retain account and practice data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account in the App, associated personal and practice data is removed from our active systems immediately. Email deletion requests are completed within 7 days. We may retain limited records only where required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update practice settings and naam lists in the App.
- Delete individual jap entries from History / Home where the feature is available.
- Delete your account from the App (Settings → Delete account) or via our account deletion page.
- Revoke Google access for the App from your Google Account settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data. Contact info@technorights.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for general audiences for personal spiritual practice tracking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Permissions on your device
With your permission, the App may access:
- Internet — to sign in and sync practice data with our servers.
- Notifications — for optional daily jap reminders you enable.
- Vibration — optional feedback while counting (if enabled in settings).
- Exact alarms (Android) — only to schedule the reminder time you set.
You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings; some features may then be unavailable.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
